(More customer reviews)This product is crap. It burned out in two weeks. I used it for a very small water garden and I plugged it in just prior to going on vacation. Upon my return it had failed miserably and is now in a large block of ice. The Western NY weather being what it is I will have to wait until spring to get it out...I have contacted Amazon about the return, we'll see how that goes. Also I contacted the company and they had a very curt reply about returning it to Amazon, not them. Be wary of this product and keep in mind, if it fails the ice can damage your garden,pond,trough,etc. I gave it a two because it actuall worked for a week or so.

Previously I've used a NORPRO version of this device, which lasted much longer (I broke it through improper use -- letting it boil dry). I'm going back to Norpro.

Normally it would take around 2 hours for my wimpy stovetop to bring 7 gallons of wort to a boil , but with the aid of this baby I can do it in 45 minutes , which is a huge improvement . Haven't had any problems with scorching . The way it is designed it circulates liquid while it heats it . For the price it can't be beat !
